At the base of Pikes Peak, America's most famous mountain, lies the great
little town of Manitou Springs. "Manitou" is a Native American word for
"Spirit." Manitou Springs is on the National Register of Historic Districts.

Nine named mineral springs throughout town are fed by the snows of Pikes Peak.
Long before white men traveled here, Indian natives considered this area sacred
ground.
Manitou Springs is located 65 Miles south of Denver and 4 miles west of Colorado
